National Aerospace Services was formed in February 1998 to respond to a serious need in the aviation industry.

The work is complex and a high degree of specialisation is required, yet demand for the personnel is intermittent. Small to medium operators were often left with no option but to use non-specialist labour or to wait until the right people could be found. The five directors of NAS brought together their combined aircraft experience of 70 years to create a skilled and mobile, specialist engineering team that could roll into action when and where it was needed.
